The Association for Gender Freedom and Equality - A.L.E.G. as partner in the implementation of the project Daphne JoinTheNet IV managed by the organization Terapeutische Frauenberatung from Germany will hold a series of 10 free of charge workshops on the topic of post-traumatic stress disorders. The workshops will have 100 beneficiaries from different social fields: social assistants, school counselors, psychologists, family doctors, nurses, policemen etc. The groups are made up of 10 participants and the workshops will consist of one single 3 hours session.
The workshops take place at the ASTRA County Library - The Children and Youth Books Office.
Beneficiaries will be granted participation certificates.
The main topics discussed during the workshop entitled "The post-traumatic stress disorder as a consequence of sexual violence against women and girls - recognition, counselling, recommendations and competences" are:
• What is psychic trauma
• Which are the physical and psychical consequences of violence against women and girls
• How can we recognize the symptoms of disorders caused by post-traumatic stress
• What should we consider in our relations with the victims traumatised by violence
• How can we help. How can we support and stabilise the victim. How should efficient counselling take place. Which are the institutions me may recommend.
• What facilities for psychotherapy / intervention are there

- The Sibiu County Police Inspectorate
- The School County Inspectorate - The County Centre for Resources and Educational Assistance
- The Sibiu County Hospital
- The Dr. Gheorghe Preda Psychiatry Hospital
