The counselling and therapy program
|
Specialised counselling and therapy service for victims of violence (domestic violence and sexual aggressions) aimed at providing psychological support in situations of crisis but also individualised long-term therapy programs for treating the trauma. Counselling is free of charge. Main source of financing:
Global Fund for Women.

The information and awareness program
|
Informational and educational activities aimed at preventing violence and adressed especially to the young people: educational sessions in schools, educational camps, public campaigns.

A.L.E.G.is responsible for the development of several studies on the influence of EU gender equality policies in the financial field on the Romanian legislation and the financial situation of women and womens' organisations from Romania and on post-accession changes.These studies will be presented at an international conference in June 2009.

Successes and awards
2005:Award from the AWID international organization (Association of Women in Development) at a contest of essays and case studies on the topic "Feminist organisations and movements": 1000$, publication of the study and free participation at the AWID Forum from Thailand, in October 2005.
2005: Scholarship offered by the Organisation for the International Development of Sweden to the organisation leader for participation to a trainers training program on the topic of women rights at the Raol Wallenberg Human Rights and Humanitarian Law Institute from Sweden.
2006: Accreditation by the Directorate for Labour, Family and Social Solidarity as provider of social services
2006: Award at the Volunteers' Gala organised by the Sibiu Red Cross - "My Body Belongs to Me" was selected Project of the Year.
