Each year, A.L.E.G. organises a public awareness campaign mainly addressed to young people, which aims at preventing discrimination between sexes by fighting stereotypes about the role of women and men and promoting positive changes of attitudes and behaviours. The campaign activities range from street actions such as "human puzzles" to theatre plays, educational sessions and movies projections in schools.
The first edition was organised at Sibiu in December 2004 with support from Peace Corps Romania and the Gong Theatre for Children and Young People. Following its success, Peace Corps Romania decided to replicate it as a best practice model in four other towns from the country. At Sibiu, A.L.E.G. continued to organise this campaign on an anual basis, with the support of the local community and trying to involve as many schools as possible as well as the mass-media.
